The Superb Root Structure - is achieved by the advanced growing techniques in operation. All trees are grown in Air Pots™. (100% recycled plastic). As the roots grow they are guided to the open-end cones in the side wall of the pot where the tip of the root is pruned when it dehydrates. For every root pruned many more new roots grow from behind the pruning, dramatically increasing the amount of root in the root ball. The continuous root pruning prevents root circling. The result is a root system with a huge number of active white tipped roots promoting the vigorous growth of the tree.

The built in watering aid - directs water to the roots and minimising evaporation. It is installed into the root ball of each tree, making watering much easier, efficient and cost effective.
Light and easy to handle - environmentally friendly reduced peat compost is very light, making our trees easy to handle in transit and planting it also becomes cost effective.
Improved establishment rate - trees grown in Air Pots establish a vibrant root system quicker after being planted on site and gives a higher rate of success with the recommended after care. Our trees outstanding fibrous root system and the built in watering aid we have developed, will achieve excellent results.

What they say about Airpots:

"The Air-Pot meets the exact needs of the tree by stimulating a vigorous, healthy and natural root system for stress free and rapid establishment from the day it is planted. Who could ask for more? "
Nick Dunn, Managing Director of Frank P Matthews Ltd.

Frank P Matthews now grows all its trained fruit, all plums and all species sensitive to container growing in Air-Pots.

"The speed in which the plant fills the Air-Pot with root is astonishing, and all the species tried so far - even the most difficult species like Juglans and Ginkgo - thrive in it."
Nick Bentley, Arboriculturist/Tree Grower, London, May 2002

" I first saw Air-Pots being used in big numbers at Cherrylake Tree Farms in Florida, where we also looked at pot-in-pot, the accelerator pot and rigid containers. There is no doubt that the Air-Pot produces the most fibrous root system for successful transplanting, even with coarse rooted subjects such as Crataegus."
Paul Masters, Production Director, Notcutts Nurseries Ltd
